If you are looking for a house in Brittany to renovate, but want a solid base to start from, then this village house is worth a look. There is work to do, but the roof is only 20 years old, it has double glazing throughout, a conservatory at the front, and most importantly, a good, solid, structure. The house dates from 1686, built for an important person in the village. It was last updated 30 years ago, and is now waiting for it's next lease of life!

The second kitchen area has water, so would make a downstairs bathroom. There is already a bathroom, but it needs some serious updating!

Upstairs, the stairs by the way, are fine, wood, and solid, you will find two rooms that would make bedrooms, one leads off the next. There is a large attic, already with two double glazed windows, just waiting to be turned into a master suite. Above this is a further mezzanine attic level.

Outside there is a garage, and a small outbuilding. The garden is to the side of the house, and contains some mature shrubs.

The house is just at the edge of the village of La Prenessaye, easy strolling distance to the shop, and bar. A further walk takes you to the banks of the River Lie where you can canoe, and walk next to the river. Five minutes drive takes you to the larger village of Plemet, with all amenities.

There aren't many village houses in this lovely area left to renovate, so if you are looking for one, don't miss this beauty.
